Site Investigation in Western Australia

I traveled to a remote mine site in Western Australia (a ~2-hour flight from Perth) to conduct a field investigation for my PhD thesis on mining robotics.

Gaining firsthand experience of the unstructured terrain and harsh conditions is essential for developing robust autonomous systems. The vast, rugged landscape serves as the ultimate testing ground for our research.

Left: The remote Western Australian outback. Right: Encountering a massive road train on the way to the site.
